What a great turnout. Lots of fun people rocking out in a cemetary! There were 2 movies and Roxy and I were literally DANCING in the STREET to the song at the end of Rock and Roll High School. Tommy was there and he and Roxy had a great reunion. We talked over the fence that kept the fans away from the VIP's. What a lovely soft spoken man he is.
Then Linda and her very tall BF cam out of the tent with 2 security people. You could really tell which one was Linda, same old snappy dresser! Roxy was really nervous about going over by the fence to say hello to Linda. She stood facind Linda who was turned with her left side facing Roxy. Roxt had to raise her voice a little to be heard over the movie. Linda turned and stuck her head in Roxy's direction trying to see who had said HELLO! The LOOK on Linda's faced when she recognized Roxy was worth the $50.00 I had donated at the gate. Her eyes went wide her jaw dropped and she litteraly RAN to her right, grabbing "Lurch" by the arm and calling the security people over to her. As Linda spoke to each one in succession they turned to look at ROXY ( who by the way was looking very sexy) and as they did I gave each one of them a little WAVE! Linda kept constantly looking our way and was VISIBLY disturbed by the presence of Johnny's long time FG. It was clear to everyone that linda was way more nervous about Roxy than Roxy was of her. We talked to Tommy for a little while longer over the fence and he and Roxy promised to get and stay in touch. That's when we walked away and Dancing in the Streets started playing on the movie so we had a little celebratory dance as we walked to the back of the fans group to get a Margareta!
All in all it was a FUN night and I'm so glad that we got to go this year. We didn't get there until after dark ( because Cynthia was having a hard time deciding what LOOK she wanted ROXY to have. I spent 2 hours getting this outfit and that outfit out of the closet then putting it back only to have to get parts and pieces of them out so she could fashion just the right look. When I get the photos up you will see she was elegant, sexy and very naughty. Can you see the mini hand cuffs on the back of her stiletto heals?
Everyone there was in a festive mood and I was impressed by how well behaved this large gathering of "PUNK ROCK" lovers were conducting them selves.

That's a great report, Superniceone. I'm ROFL at the sight of that meeting between Roxy and Linda. What a priceless moment! I'm glad you two got to go this year, and that Roxy re-connected with some old friends. That's wonderful!

I had to skip event this year. Been travelling so lot, and flight tickets to LA are so expensive.
Did any active members of board attended event in addition to Superniceone?

Superniceone and Roxy, good you had mostly nice time and you got back in touch with Tommy. Vibe in event is mainly good, even lot too business, and it is pretty different than at Joey's Bashes. Anyway great that Johnny event is annual.
Someone from VIP area wrote me a bit differently of that your meeting with Linda. But it was seen by outsider. Those things are between you three and not sure why those are good to write publicly here? Of course we know what you are thinking and why you wanna get her mad, but...

Hopefully we get in future annual memorial event to our Dee Dee...

Hi. Sorry you could not make it. I wrote it down exactly as I saw it happen. Cynthia (Roxy) was a little tipsy but not threatening to Linda at all. She just wanted to say hello.

Last year event was in early October, then I had better chance to travel to LA. Flight tickets were from Finland then 700 euros / around 900$.
You and Roxy also had to travel to LA some hours.

Now money is tight here and is also hard to ravel as I attend every weekend some festival as a journalist. Next week is cool festival where are playing Iggy & The Stooges, Anthrax, Cult, Alice In Chains, Volbeat, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, HIM, Slayer...

Hopefully next year they will have something new at Johnny's event. I do not understand why they again promoted event with Rose McGowan (they did same last year)???

Lot of strength to everyone here.

I think Linda and Rose are great friends. I saw an interview where they talked of it.
Roxy lives in Santa Monica and I am staying on my boat for the summer in Marina Del Ray just a few miles apart. We spend lots of time together these days. The event was just a few miles away. We went with a couple of friends and had a very nice time. I don't know who related the events to you and wonder if they knew who we were. Roxy was unmistakable with her ultra RED hair and I am tall and had on a black leather (American Poker Tour)jacket.
As I said, we went there to have fun and we did. We will probably be there again next year although we have been talking about moving to New York.

It's just talk now. YOU know the things that go on in some relationships and with someone as high strung as Cyn things can change in a heart beat. I am going back to my nice little safe job at the college soon and I'm old enough to know when I'm doing what I like. Roxy is always a handfull even when she is just at home.
She wants so much to reach out to all her old friends and with all these reunions happening it might get a little crazy around here.

Totally understood, SNO. I do, really. Always do what's best for yourself, and take care.
